Many of you have been asking me what lipstick I'm using as I have sensitive lips problem which will cause itchiness and peeling if I use the "wrong" lipstick, it's really torturing I can tell. Just imagine when you're so happy trying out the new lipstick that you just bought, and few hours later after the application your lips started to feel itchy and even cracking or peeling. Worst still, these allergic symptoms didn't just last for 1 or 2 days, they can sometimes last for weeks or months! I'm sorry if any of you are facing the same problem, I understand how you're feeling.

So today, I decided to list out some of my favourite lipsticks that my lips are not allergic to so far. To be true, I don't know which ingredient my lips are allergic to, but I usually try avoid using fragranced lipsticks. It's okay if my lipstick doesn't taste good, because I'm not gonna eat it or taste it, and my boyfriend normally don't kiss me when I have lipstick on. So after years of finding and trying, here are the 4 lipsticks that I'm not allergic to.

Top 1 : Maybelline Velvet Matte by Color Sensational 
For those who love matte lipstick, you will definitely love this. I'm using color MAT6 and MAT8, price is affordable and you can get it from any beauty store. Many of you might think that matte lipstick tends to make your lips really dry, but Maybelline Velvet Matte lipsticks keep your lips moisture in spite of their matte finish. The color does transfer but it can last for all day long, and it's fragrance-free, best for girls who are allergic to fragranced lipsticks.

Top 2 : YSL Rouge Volupte Shine
I just bought this not long ago during my Bangkok trip, and I'm really happy that I'm not allergic to it even it's fragranced. The color that I got is Corail Intuitive (15), very lovely color. I really love the shinny and glossy texture which makes my lips very moisture, and it smells like fruit. Amazingly it's very long lasting, though after few wipes it might lose the glossiness but the color still remain on your lips! As YSL is a high-end brand, so their lipstick is actually slightly pricey, but the money is worth spending as I'm not allergic to it.

Top 3 : YSL Rouge Pur Couture 
I bought this from Bangkok as well, the color that I got is the bestseller from this range, Rouge Rose (52), which is one of the color that used by Cheon Song Yi in the drama - My Love From Another Star. Love the color and the matte finishing, very pigmented and it is very very very long lasting, it does really last for all day long! It's less moisturising compare to Maybelline's, lips do feel dry after the application.

Top 4 : INGLOT Rouge a Levres
Boyfriend bought me this last year and thanks God I'm not allergic to it! The color is 231, is a very bright pink which makes me look really like a Japanese. The texture is very shinny but not very sticky, good for girls who have long hair. It's very pigmented and the color turns out to be very vibrant just by a single swipe, and it is very long lasting. Not so moisturising though and it's slightly pricey.


These are the 4 lipsticks that I really really love, and most importantly I'm not allergic to them. Just a reference for girls who have sensitive lips like me, but not sure if they are suitable for you as you might be allergic to some of the ingredients that I'm not allergic to, stop using if allergic symptoms occur.
